THE FRIDAY FUNNIES #11

🗞️ VOLUME 11🐾

📰“He Built This City”

Joe Macken, a New York City truck driver, has spent more than 20 years building a model of the city in his free time. It’s about 50 feet long, covers all five boroughs plus parts of New Jersey and Long Island, and has more than 800,000 structures, mostly balsa wood. After his daughter talked him into sharing it on TikTok, it passed 10 million views in a week and earned its own exhibit at the Museum of the City of New York. He told the AP, “I never really thought about finishing it because I had so much fun building it.”

📰Frequent Flyer Without a Ticket

At Chicago O’Hare, an unexpected air traveler, a green bird, flew through an open door last week and swooped at passengers in the Air France check-in line. An airport employee caught it on video. A janitor finally grabbed the bird with her shirt and took it to a vet to be checked and to find its owner.
