📰Monarch Inspiration

Boston’s Beacon Hill neighborhood homes are dressed up for Halloween. Mt. Vernon Street’s “Butterfly House” has been a popular attraction with its large monarchs and skeletons. The entire display took about 85 hours to install by a five-person crew. The project began with a sketch and a vision from homeowner Mary DiLeo. She calls it “a gift for the neighborhood as much as it is for our family…”

📰Space Object Lands In Minnesota Cornfield

In Stevens County, Minnesota, an unknown space object was found in a cornfield. Stevens County Sheriff’s Office recovered a large metallic object earlier this month that was 11 ft in diameter. Feds are working on finding and notifying the owners of the debris, but deputies confirmed it was “presumably a space object”

Update: It has since reportedly been traced back to a Chinese rocket.

📰Bear Taking A Test Drive

A black bear was found in a family’s Subaru in Juneau, Alaska, on Monday. The neighbor heard a car horn, saw the bear sitting in the car and called 911. This was the bear’s third car break-in that night. Officers woke the family for the keys, but the bear had torn out the wiring, so they used a rope to pull the door open. It ran off unharmed but the interior was destroyed. Angela Harkins called it “the Goldilocks situation, except he got locked in the last car.” The family only had liability coverage, so the damage isn’t covered.
