THE FRIDAY FUNNIES #5
🗞️ VOLUME 5 🐾
📰HOME BUN RACE- LET’S WORK TOGETHER
At Kauffman Stadium, the Kansas City Royals launched an inflatable hot dog and bun in separate parts of the crowd. They had 35 seconds to get the giant inflatable hot dog into the bun with everyone’s help. Fortunately, they completed the task and managed to score every one of their fans a free hot dog. This proves that with the right incentives an entire stadium can collaborate better than most workplaces.
🐶Piper’s Breakdown: I always miss the good games, oooh what I wouldn’t give for a ballpark!🌭⚾🏟️
📰A TASTY TRIBUTE- PEANUT BUTTER ARTWORK
A Dutch museum attracted 48,000 visitors, 48 footprints, 5 phones, and one taste testing incident. Smooth peanut butter was spread across 25 square meters of ground to pay tribute to a famous artist Wim T. Schippers. Over an eight week span, there were 48 visitors who had missteps, five phones that were stuck and an unknown culprit that taste tested the attraction. Some believe it was likely a child. Eighty visitor complaints by phone and letters poured in which made for a very sticky situation.
🐶Piper’s Breakdown: I’ll volunteer my time at cleanup for the floor lickin… for arts sake of course!🥜🧈
📰GOING THE DISTANCE OR BELLY FLOP- CHICAGO RIVER SWIM BIG JUMP
The Chicago River Swim has added a bonus for participants who would like to do The Big Jump, cannonball, or belly flop if they prefer. There are swimmers of all types preparing for their time to shine in a one to two mile river swim and other’s are shining in other ways. There was a jump category added for those who would rather hang back and do The Big Jump for $500 going towards supporting ALS research. Do you want to work on your cannonball?
🐶Piper’s Breakdown: You’ve gotta be kitten me, okay I’ll do it, may be my only chance to swim with these fish.🐟🐟🐟
📰DOUBLE THE FUN- CHINA BUILDS A 288 METER OUTDOOR ELEVATOR
In The Yunnan Province, a 268 meter outside elevator was built primarily to help children get to school easier. Every three weeks, the children had to complete a three hour climb towards the Guanzhai school hoping to ease the trek they built an elevator alongside a cliffside. Now, they can get to school six times faster with the help of a shuttle and cable car. Though this proved to be too successful as tourists from everywhere decided they would like a ride to the top. Again, the kids had to wait hours for their turn. Fortunately, they decided to make a twin elevator this one was larger at 288 meters but much faster than the first. It really took things to a whole new level.
🐶Piper’s Breakdown: Is there room in that elevator for one more, I’d like to try my paws on that ride?🐾🐾🐾
